Unit 2-End of Book

Goals

To be able to:

• Understand and apply all the rules mentioned in the book

• Recall all terminologies mentioned in the book

• Do tarkib of the examples

• Gain an understanding of Arabic sentence structures, thus helping them read beginners text.

Teaching Methodology

• The teacher will explain new rules and concepts during the lesson.  The teacher will suffice on the example(s) in the book, and where necessary, provide additional examples. 

Notes:

The material in this book is taught in more detail in FSTU Arabic. The aim of this book is to cover the essential rules as quickly as possible to equip the students with the basic knowledge needed to commence the study of Arabic books.

Notes For AQI Teachers:

Because students will be starting from Unit 2 (Unit 1 Material will be covered in FSTU Arabic), the following should be adjusted to ease learning 

• Pg 42

  • Rule 2: Marfoo should be explained as ضمة until students cover irab in FSTU Arabic.

  • Rule 3: Only the D of Ding should be explained; i.e the Mubtada will be a name or a word with ال.
