Information for Teachers and Students
Goals
Primary Goals
Memorise all the conjugation tables listed within the book and recite them fluently.
Recognise, conjugate and translate verbs from English to Arabic and Arabic to English, especially verbs from the Quran
Pronounce, recall, spell and define all the Arabic terminologies and rules
Secondary Goals
Understand and memorise the basic rules mentioned in the book. Detailed rules of Sarf will be discussed in al-Wusta fi at-Tasreef.
Teaching Methodology
The teacher will explain each verb and its conjugation.
Students must memorise these tables and recite them to the teacher.
Under the supervision of the teacher, students must complete all the exercises verbally. Thereafter, the students must complete selected questions in writing.

Written Exams
Vocabulary
The students should try to learn all the vocab provided in the text book.
However, the words in the document below must be learnt, and words from this list will be used in the written exam.

Oral Exams
The teacher will start listening to students during class once the reuqired amount for the term is completed. There is no designated day for this exam.
The exam will be spread over a few days.
Marking
Each question is worth 2 marks
1 mark for correctness
1 mark for fluency
Unit 1-2
Students will be allocated a set of root letters. They will need to read the التصريف الصغير and التصريف الكبير of its المجرد and then all المزيد فيه forms.
Unit 3-9
Students will need to read to the appointed teacher all the tables provided in this document.
The students will keep the booklet in front of them during the exam.
End of Book Exam
Students will need to read to the appointed teacher all the tables provided in this document.
